Cosmetic Arts
The Cosmetic Arts program at Central Carolina Community College offers non-credit courses that help individuals develop salon skills, obtain certifications, or acquire continuing education units for professional development. Some courses are offered in both English and Spanish languages.
Course topics include:
- Cosmetology in Spanish: Designed for those who speak Spanish fluently to obtain a license with the NC State Board of Cosmetology.
- Massage Therapy: Designed for those with an interest in the art of bodywork with a passion for anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and the pathology in the human body.
- Instructor Training: Instructor training courses will give NC Registered Barbers the opportunity to become prepared to sit before the NC Barbering Board for their Instructors licensure.
- CEU Credit Hours: Licensed Stylist will have the opportunity to take courses gaining knowledge on the latest trends. These courses will allow students to gain CEU credit hours in order to meet the requirements of license renewal.
