Cosmetology
Cosmetology is a career you can love. It's a mixture of equal parts of creativity and professionalism. Would you like to have a job that excites you?
The CCCC Cosmetology Department has built a reputation for quality instruction, the development of good customer relationships, hard work and fun. It's much more than styling hair.
Instructors bring years of experience as stylists, successful business owners and teachers. The college instructional salons are located in Sanford and Lillington. Students learn on the latest equipment with the best supplies available in the industry. In addition, the CCCC program features many field trips, styling competitions and apprenticeships.
Graduates of the CCCC program are frequently recruited by leading salons.
Employers know CCCC graduates will be skilled stylists with an excellent knowledge of the latest cutting and coloring techniques. Equally important, they know CCCC Cosmetology graduates understand customer relationships and appropriate dress and personal grooming. These skills are taught with innovative role-playing methods.
With a CCCC Cosmetology education, students open doors to a variety of career choices. Graduates are employed as salon stylists, some start their own businesses, others become platform artists, and others begin careers as salespersons for cosmetology product manufacturers and distributors.
The experienced faculty is able to assist many graduates with their first job placement after graduation. Most are able to find immediate job placements earning starting salaries in the range of $500 to $800 per week.
Certificate and diploma programs are available with day classes at the Lillington and Sanford Campuses.
If you're up to facing new challenges every day, consider Cosmetology. It takes good people skills and a little inspiration. Our skilled and experienced faculty can shape your future and build your confidence. There are differences in instructional programs. Visit one of our locations in Lillington or Sanford.
This program is also offered in Spanish in the evening at the Harnett Main Campus. Please see the continuing education website for more information.
