SANFORD - Yocelyn Rivera, a senior at Hobbton High School in Newton Grove, has signed to join the Central Carolina Community College cross country program.
"Yocelyn is a very talented and all-around athlete. She is an all-state high jumper as well as runner," said CCCC Head Cross Country Coach Jacob Ashworth. "She is a great leader and the ideal cross country athlete. It has been a pleasure getting to know Yocelyn throughout the recruiting process. I cannot wait to have her on campus next fall."
Rivera will join previous CCCC cross country signees Brent Holder of Southern Lee High School, Guadalupe "Lupe" Vazquez of Lee County High School, and Britt Lehman of Jordan-Matthews High School.
