Central Carolina Community College's David Thompson has received National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region X honors.
SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College's David Thompson and Trey North have received National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region X honors.
Thompson, of Raleigh, was named Region X Player of the Year. The All-American nominee also was named to the All-Region Team. Thompson averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.3 rebounds per game.
"It has been a pleasure coaching David this season, and I wish and expect great things from him in the future," said CCCC Coach Bradley McDougald.
North, of Sanford, was named to the Region X All-Freshman Team. He averaged 13.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
"Trey is a quick learner, and hard worker, which will always give him great opportunities in basketball and in life," said Coach McDougald.
