SILER CITY - The Central Carolina Community College Workshops on Weekend (W.O.W.) series held a Cosmetic Chemistry workshop on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the CCCC Siler City Center.
Participants learned about the properties and benefits of commonly used health and beauty products. They were able to create some natural bath and body products (body scrub, homemade soap, and lip balms), and designed and created they own carrying case for their products.
The W.O.W. series was designed to provide the students in the CCCC service learning area with an outlet to explore the sciences, technology, engineering, the arts and math (S.T.E.A.M.). The CCCC Foundation funds the W.O.W. series.
