CCCC's Detention Officer School holds graduation

SANFORD - Officers from the Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties Sheriffs' offices graduated from Central Carolina Community College's Detention Officer School on Thursday March 31.

The graduates received 172 hours of instruction in the 23-day program that included topics such as Legal Requirements in the Jail, Medical Care, Aspects of Mental Health, and Physical Fitness. The course concluded with a 200-question certification examination administered by the North Carolina Sheriffs' Education and Training Standards Commission.
