DUNN - A variety of classes are being offered at Central Carolina Community College's Dunn Center, which is located at the former Harnett High School, 660 E. Johnson St., Dunn.
Among the classes being offered is the Central Carolina BBQ Academy, which begins Feb. 2 and concludes March 22. Students will create classic sauce recipes including eastern and western variations. Students will prepare sauces as well as complimenting proteins and vegetables. Basic meat and knife cuts will be taught in the class, as well as safety and sanitation procedures. Uniform required -- hat or hair covering, chef's coat, smock or apron, and closed toe shoes. Cost is $70.55.
Natural Chef Certification and SafeServ, as well as Baking and Event Planning, are other culinary programs to be offered at the Dunn Center.

There are various other classes that will be available at the Dunn Center, including An Artful Journey - Just Your Digital Camera & You, Beginning Computer, Beginning Floral Design, CPR, Defensive Driving, Flowers for Weddings, How to Thrive Financially in Retirement, Microsoft Word, Notary Public, and Plus50 Zumba.
