The Basic Law Enforcement Training Program at Central Carolina Community College graduated 15 during a ceremony at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center on Aug. 5. Achievement awards presented were: Academic Excellence – Acord, Burns and Carroll; Highest Academic Average – Acord; Highest State Exam Score – Hunter; Top Physical Fitness – Palme; Most Improved Physical Fitness – VanEck; and Top POPAT – Christensen. The North Carolina BLET Program includes 624 hours of law enforcement training, rigorous physical training, and a four-hour written exam administered by the N.C. Criminal Justice Training and Standards Division. The next BLET programs start in September in Harnett County and in October in Chatham County.
