SANFORD, N.C. - Lots of toys were received during the recent Cougar Express drive-thru event at Central Carolina Community College - including some additional donations following the event. The toys, which are going to children in western North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene, were delivered to Alan Lynch with Riding on Faith Equestrian Center. Lynch and Pastor Arvill Scott, who operates a ministry called The Nest Alliance, delivered the majority of toys to Blue Ridge Elementary School in Warrensville, N.C. - in Ashe County. Other toys went to individuals in The Nest Alliance.
