CCCC Medical Assisting program holds Pinning Ceremony

SANFORD, N.C. - The Central Carolina Community College Medical Assisting program held a Pinning Ceremony for the Class of 2024 on Wednesday, July 10, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center in Sanford, N.C.

Melissa Fogarty, CCCC Medical Assisting Department Chair, gave the welcome and led in the Pinning. Also participating in the Pinning Ceremony were CCCC Medical Assisting Practicum Coordinators Sabine Collins and Dianne Johnson.

Class representatives Hayley Terrones Hernandez and Jessica Beauchamp each presented remarks. Receiving Academic Excellence awards were Vanessa Guzman Escobar and Wendy Fuller. Receiving Spirit of Medical Assisting awards were Loreli Neri and Shelala Locklear.

CCCC Medical Assisting 2024 graduates, with their home counties listed: Jessica Beauchamp (Harnett County), Arleth Campos Herrera (Chatham County), Samea Carter (Cumberland County), Lakesha Crowder (Harnett County), Mariana De la Cruz-Plata (Chatham County), Destiny Douglas (Cumberland County), Wendy Fuller (Wake County), Kaylee Godwin (Harnett County), Vanessa Guzman Escobar (Lee County), Shelala Locklear (Robeson County), Loreli Neri (Orange County), and Hayley Terrones Hernandez (Lee County).
