Central Carolina Community College and Campbell University have signed an agreement that will allow CCCC students an assured-entry pathway to Campbell available upon graduation.
The program affords CCCC students information about academic programs, and access to faculty and staff at the Campbell campus who will facilitate their transition to Campbell. This program prioritizes the ability to receive admission, financial aid, and orientation communications early in the transition process, which sets CCCC students up for maximum success at both institutions. Limited access to Campbell activities, services, and facilities occurs at the point of acceptance, commitment, and enrollment in the program. Full access to Campbell activities, services, and facilities begins upon matriculation at Campbell.
The program requires completion of the Associate's degree from Central Carolina Community College in a college transfer program or an articulated applied program for guaranteed university admission.
While enrolled at CCCC, students will identify their interest in the program by completing a brief, online form provided by the Campbell Admissions Office. There is no program participation fee.
"The strong partnership between Central Carolina and Campbell University goes back many years," said CCCC President Dr. Lisa M. Chapman. "This agreement, which assures admission to Campbell for Central Carolina graduates, exemplifies how well we work together in supporting our communities. We know our students will benefit from the specialized advising and access that are provided for in the agreement and we look forward to future accomplishments resulting from the joint efforts of CCCC and Campbell working together!"
Campbell University President Dr. J. Bradley Creed said of the agreement: "Partnerships with other educational institutions are increasingly important in fulfilling Campbell's mission. Community colleges especially are strategic allies for achieving our complimentary goals. Central Carolina Community College is a leader within the community college system of North Carolina in workforce and economic development and in providing a pathway to a college degree for students from our region. I am grateful for the support of Dr. Lisa Chapman, President of CCCC, in developing this partnership and look forward to continued collaboration with her and the members of the CCCC community."
