CCCC will host Veterans Day Ceremony

11.03.2022 • College & Community, College General, Special Events

SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the CCCC Lee Main Campus at the flagpoles.

The event is open to the public.

Guest speaker will be Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Al Lampkins, a decorated military veteran with 31-plus years of experience and leadership in the U.S. Army, as well as civilian positions. He currently serves as the Fayetteville Community Network Director of Veterans Bridge Home.

The program will include ceremonies performed by cadets from the Army ROTC battalion based at Campbell University.

Dr. Jen Servi-Roberts, CCCC Director of Veterans Upward Bound and Military Affiliated Initiatives, said the ceremony is an important way for the college to recognize its own veterans and show others across the community that the college supports them and offers a welcoming educational opportunity during and after their military service.
