SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College Volleyball Coach Bill Carter said the 2021 Cougar volleyball team may be the most skilled in his 13 years as coach.

"I have big expectations for our team," said Coach Carter. "Ball control and aggressive serving will be the Cougar strengths moving into the season."

Coach Carter points to his three returning athletes (with high school and hometown listed) - Jaloni Gadist (Pine Forest H.S., Fayetteville), Grace McAllister (Shining Light Christian School, Raleigh), and Taylor Rosser (Western Harnett H.S., Broadway) - to provide experience and leadership.

Other members of this year's CCCC volleyball squad, including name, high school and hometown, are: Lily Bonner (Southern Lee H.S., Sanford), Mekenzie Harris (Grace Christian School, Sanford), Breighanna Hobbs (Triton H.S., Coats), Kaiyan Padilla (Northglenn H.S., Denver, Colo.), and Pristina Tabon (Southern Lee H.S., Sanford).

"Overall team chemistry and a strong will should give the Cougars the opportunity to be successful this season," said Coach Carter. "I am very excited about the setting for the 2021 spring season, which will give out hitters a great opportunity to be successful."
