The Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees honored the memory and exemplary service of former Trustee Dan Curtis Honeycutt Sr. during the board's Oct. 24 meeting at the Harnett Health Sciences Center in Lillington. Members of the Honeycutt family were in attendance. Honeycutt, of Coats, died Tuesday, May 15. "It didn't take you long when you met Dan to genuinely like him. He just had that aura about him that you just wanted to have him around and call him your friend," said Julian Philpott, Chairman of the CCCC Board of Trustees. "When he spoke at our meetings, the Trustees listened because we all knew that everything Dan said was important and every word counted. We miss him and tonight we want to honor him and you, his family members."
