OTA Certification and Licensure

Pending SACSCOC Approval

To become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), students must sit for board exams through the National Board for certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

After passing the NBCOT boards, students must also be licensed by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy before practice may begin.
