WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND CCCC
CCCC NCAEOP Scholarship Awards
CCCC NCAEOP recently awarded four students, $3,000 in scholarship funds: $1,000 was awarded to Traci Collins, $1,000 to Abby Thomas, $500 to Ashley Snipes, and $500 to Tara Davis. Three of the students are in the nursing program and one is a veterinary medical student. Due to the students' class schedules none were able to attend the scholarship luncheon held on the Lee County campus on October 25, 2012. We are proud to honor these four ladies for their commitment to furthering their education and obtaining degrees at Central Carolina Community College. Pictured below are the CCCC NCEOP Scholarship Committee Members: Far left, Cathy Giles, Tamara Clarey, Debra McNeill, and Polly Bouldin, Chair.

Visit NC.gov
NC.gov is a one-stop source for information about N.C. government. After many years of neglect, the website has been refreshed and made more relevant with new content and online services. Citizens can interact with government programs via social media and register for updates on the programs they care about. The site works on desktop computers and mobile phones. Take a look: http://nc.gov
Halloween Scenes
From the Lee County "Haunted Library" to the Harnett County "Halloweenie Patriot" to the Chatham County Ghosts & Goblins, mummies and the like were "hanging around" CCCC. Students and faculty alike had their Halloween costumes just in time for "witching" and Halloween.
New Picnic Tables
Picnic tables are now located behind the Marketing House next to the pond. They are available for anyone to use and enjoy on a nice day.

CCCC EOP Silent Auction Scholarship Fund Raiser and 30th Anniversary Celebration
The CCCC Chapter of the North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals celebrates 30 years of service at CCCC as we host our annual silent auction for student scholarships. You are invited to join the celebration and auction on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. In addition to the traditional secret bidding, we have added a new open-view silent auction table and raffle items. Be sure to bring some dollar bills for the raffles. Have some fun while supporting our students. All proceeds go to the CCCC NCAEOP Scholarships Fund.
News From the Foundation Office
On September 30th, there was a Poker Run in the North Myrtle Beach area to honor the memory of a fellow veteran of foreign war, Michael Delamere, who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 17 in 2007. CCCC Instructors, Wayne Graham and Stan Thompson participated in the ride. The proceeds from the Poker Run are to be used for scholarships for our student veterans in the Motorcycle Mechanics Technology Program. Pictured are Wayne Graham, Loretta Delamere, and her son, Chris Delamere.
