Coach Jeff Crystal started playing the game of golf over 50 years ago. Coach Crystal played competitively during high school, one year of college, and during his military service. As a 10-month employee of CCCC, he spends the summer as a ranger at Tobacco Road Golf Course in Sanford, NC. Coach Crystal says that he loves the game of golf and hopes that he can give back a little of his enjoyment from the sport by coaching the CCCC team. He also stated that he has recently discovered his enjoyment for both coaching and teaching.
Coach Crystal has been teaching at CCCC for 6 years in the business administration and accounting areas. Before coming to CCCC, he spent 4 years in the Air Force, 3 years with Eastern Gas & Fuel Associates, 24 years with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and 6 years as an aviation airspace and database consultant.
Coach Crystal earned a B.S. degree in economics from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and a Master's degree in business administration from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He believes that his educational training and work background has been a tremendous asset to his career.
