Carl Bryan received his BA in Political Science and Physical Education, Exercise and Sport Science in 1990 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his MA in Physical Education, Exercise and Sport Science in 1992 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Carl had the unique experience in his MA studies of being on the ground level of the World League of American Football (now known as NFL - Europe) working with the Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks . Carl has been with Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) since 1992 and serves as the Department Chair of Social Science and Wellness. He is a Gold Level Sports coach through the NYSCA and has credentials in coaching from Cal Ripken baseball, Pop Warner, and Football America. An avid youth sports supporter, he has coached soccer, basketball, baseball, and football in Lee County through Lee County Recreation, UpWard Basketball, Sanford Area Soccer League, Pop Warner, and Broadway Optimist. He currently coaches a U12 basketball team with the Carolina Pride out of Moore County. He is also the race director of the Broadway Our Way festival's "Run the Buck 5k". Carl is married to Wendy W. Bryan, a Journalism and English instructor at Southern Lee High School, and has two children, Pait (11-years-old) and Carrie Ellen (four-years-old).
