Steve Lympany
Steve Lympany is DepartmentrnChair for Engineering and Computer Information Technologies at Central CarolinarnCommunity College (CCCC). Hernreceived his BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MA inrnLiberal Studies from North Carolina State University. His industrial experience includes positions with thernNational Radio Astronomy Observatory, GTE Laboratories, ITT Telecommunicationsrnand Siecor Corporation. Since 1986rnhe has been with CCCC, where he teaches courses in electronics, optics, andrncomputers. He is a member of thernAmerican Society for Engineering Education, the American Technical EducationrnAssociation (ATEA) and is a former Chairman of the Piedmont Optical Task Force. Along with his wife, Laurie, Steve playsrnguitar and hammered dulcimer with the traditional music group BLYS (pronouncedrn"bliss"), based out of Fuquay-Varina.
