Graduation Information

Steps to Apply for Graduation

  1. Complete Application: Complete an Application for Graduation (http://www.cccc.edu/registrar/forms/pdfs/Graduation_Application.pdf). All students must apply to graduate whether or not they plan to participate in a commencement ceremony.
  2. Advisor Review: Meet with your advisor for credential verification. Have your advisor sign your application for graduation and also have your advisor fill out and staple an advising sheet to your application. No graduation applications will be accepted without an advisor signature and an advising sheet attached.
  3. Submit Application: Submit your application for graduation:

  4. Pay your graduation fees.
    • If you are not participating, there is no graduation fee. (Your credential(s) will be mailed to you after graduation or you can stop by the Registrar's Office for pickup.)
    • If you are participating in a commencement ceremony, the graduation fee is $18. (Includes cap, gown, credential(s), credential cover, and other graduation expenses.) Graduation fees can be paid at the following locations:

  5. Send out Announcements: Graduation announcements are available in all three CCCC Bookstores.
  6. Graduation Practice: Graduation practice is at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, small auditorium. Caps and gowns will be handed out after each practice if graduation fees have been paid (Please bring your receipt). There are two practices, one at 1:00pm and another at 5:30pm. You will need to attend one of these practices in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
  7. Graduation Day:
    • Spring Graduation: Graduates must be in their seats in the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, small auditorium 45 minutes prior to their specified ceremony. For the first ceremony, graduates should arrive by 8:15am if participating in the 9:00am ceremony, 10:45am if participating in the 11:30AM ceremony or 2:15pm if participating in the 3:00pm ceremony. At that time, honor cords and honor society stoles will be issued. Degrees, diplomas, and certificates will be handed out immediately following the ceremony on the small auditorium stage. If you have any outstanding debts to the college or overdue library materials your credential will be held.
