SANFORD - Veterans Day will be observed on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Central Carolina Community College Lee Main Campus.

This event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center.

The Master of Ceremony will be Richard C. Biggs, MSgt., U.S. Air Force Retired, who served for 22 years. He was a C-130 Flight Engineer who served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm and currently serves as an instructor in CCCC's Information Technology program.

The event is free and open to the public.
