CCCC will host Laser & Photonics weekend workshops

SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College will host two Laser & Photonics weekend workshops for middle school and high school aged youth.

The workshops will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, at the CCCC Harnett Main Campus in Lillington and Saturday, Dec. 3, at the CCCC Lee Main Campus in Sanford.

Participants will utilize a laser kit to see the properties of light -- how light bends (refraction), how it bounces (reflection), and explore/experiment with the fundamentals of light.

Registration fee is $30. The registration fee includes materials, supplies, and a snack. A laser kit is included. There is limited seated for the workshop, so those who wish to attend should apply as soon as possible.
