Wicker Civic Center. Perry and fellow motivational speaker Kwain Bryant spoke to the attendees about getting past failure, succeeding in high school, preparing for college, and being a man. Central Carolina Community College's Men of Academic Distinction and Excellence (MADE) and Sandhills Community College's Men of Valor and Excellence (MOVE) programs co-sponsored the event. About 90 people attended from CCCC, Sandhills, Sanford Boys and Girls' Club, Job Corps, Lee County High School, Southern Lee High School, SAGE academy, and San-Lee Middle School, as well as members of the community.
