CCCC nursing grads ace national exam

SANFORD —Central Carolina Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing Program 2008 graduates have aced the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN). All ADN graduates nationwide must pass this exam to receive their license to practice.

Central Carolina C.C.’s 15 graduates each achieved a 100-percent score the first time they sat the exam. The graduates are now all serving their communities with practices and institutions such as Central Carolina Hospital, UNC-Chapel Hill Medical Center, Wake Medical Center, First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Betsy Johnson Hospital, and Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

“The Associate Degree Nursing Program is rigorous and demands time, knowledge, dedication, and family support,” said nursing instructor Linda Blair. “Each student is to be congratulated for his/her achievement and dedication to providing safe, effective care to the people of their communities.”
