Bouldin named NCAEOP District 7 Professional of Year

Bouldin will now compete for state-level EOP against the winners from the organization’s 13 other districts.

SANFORD - Polly Bouldin, of Central Carolina Community College, has been named the Educational Office Professional of the Year by District 7 of the North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals. She has been the site supervisor at the college’s West Harnett Center since 2001.

The award was presented during the District 7 meeting Friday, Sept. 25, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, in Sanford. District 7 includes members in Lee, Moore, Randolph, Stanly, Montgomery, Anson, Richmond, Union and Scotland counties.

Bouldin will now compete for state-level EOP against the winners from the organization’s 13 other districts. That winner will be announced at the statewide NCAEOP Conference in March. That winner will then compete to be the National Association EOP of the Year.

Bouldin is a co-founder of the college’s EOP association, serving as the first secretary when it was established in 1983. She has also served the chapter as president, vice president, and treasurer, and chaired many committees.

She is also treasurer of the Johnsonville Ruritan Club, vice president of the Harnett County Buddy Backpack Program and involved in other volunteer work in the community and at Ephesus Baptist Church.

A native of Lee County, Bouldin earned an Associate in Applied Science in Secretarial Science from Central Carolina C.C., with honors, in 1974. She accepted a position with the college and has been employed there ever since. She also holds a Mechanical Contracting License, Real Estate Brokers License, and is a Notary Public.

In her spare time, Bouldin said she is a huge fan of country music, Alan Jackson, NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and loves riding her Harley "hog."
