RALEIGH — Central Carolina Community College (CCCC)rn will be well represented at the annual North Carolinarn Community College Art Exhibition this year.
rn Four people associated with the CCCC Pottery and Sculpturern program — students Carlyne Thomas, Siler City;rn Margo Bennett, Chapel Hill; Wayne Vaugn, Graham; andrn former instructor Kevin Helvey, Burlington — willrn have their work on display at the North Carolina Communityrn College System (NCCCS) office in downtown Raleigh.
rn NCCCS President H. Martin Lancaster will host an informalrn reception honoring the artists Thursday, March 16, atrn 4 p.m. in the Caswell Building, headquarters for thern system office, located at 200 West Jones Street in downtownrn Raleigh.
rn The artwork will be on display throughout 2006.
rn Since 1998, the NCCCS has sponsored a statewide exhibitionrn of artwork by the faculty, staff, students and alumnirn of North Carolina's community colleges. The exhibitionrn is housed at the Caswell Building. The exhibition runsrn from early spring through December each year.
rn The Caswell Building is a working office building, sorn people who wish to see the artwork should call Chancyrn Kapp at (919) 807-6962 or Peggy Beach at (919) 807-6964rn to arrange a tour. The Caswell Building is open Mondayrn through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Northrn Carolina state holidays and weekends.
