SANFORD, N.C. - Stormy Mascitelli, Central Carolina Community College Dean of Institutional Research & Title III NAVIGATE Implementation Manager, has been named recipient of the CCCC Staff of the Year award for 2023-2024.

"I am so honored to receive this incredible award. I am thankful to get to work with such amazing colleagues who work together to make CCCC an amazing place for our students," said Mascitelli. "The colleagues and mentors that I have worked with at CCCC have helped me to grow immensely. I am proud to be at CCCC."

CCCC President Dr. Lisa M. Chapman said of Mascitelli, "Stormy not only understands data, she is very adept at helping others understand how to use data. Some time ago, in an Educause Showcase series, I read the phrase 'Moving from data insight to data action,' which really resonated with me. It is great to have a lot of data -- but only if you can and do effectively and appropriately use it. That is what Stormy means to CCCC -- she helps us every day effectively collect and use data. We are so very fortunate to have her as a leader in the CCCC family."

Scott Byington, CCCC's Associate Vice President of Onboarding and Advising, said of Mascitelli, "Stormy has done so much to ensure that the college thinks strategically and focuses on improvement. She has offered new, insightful ideas and approaches to help us strive toward continuous progress and growth. Her exceptional performance, commitment to our college's mission, leadership, pursuit of lifelong learning and her tremendous technical and analytical skills make her one of a kind. Frankly, she amazes me every week."

Mascitelli, who began her CCCC career in 2014, completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western New England University in 2007 and continued on to earn her M.Ed. at The University of Georgia in College Student Affairs Administration in 2009.
