SANFORD - The Central Carolina Community College Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Chapter participated in the National Leadership Conference (NLC) June 23-27 in San Antonio, Texas.

The CCCC PBL Chapter received national recognition with the following honors: Gold Seal, Gold Star, The Leadership Legacy Award, and Career and Membership Achievement Program (CMAP) Outstanding Chapter.

CCCC PBL Advisors Michael Fann and Pam Riddle attended the conference.

Eighteen CCCC PBL members qualified for the national event after qualifying by finishing first or second in his or her event at the State Leadership Conference in Charlotte. Of the 18 students, 16 placed among the top nationally in 13 events -- including 11 members who placed in two events in the Top 10.

4th Place -- Economic Analysis & Decision Making -- Ashley Quincin (Sanford) and Mackenzie Roche (Sanford).

4th Place -- Parliamentary Procedure -- Shishir Desai (Sanford), Carolina Moscoso (Sanford), Faith Richmond (Sanford), and Ellen White (Sanford).

5th Place -- Computer Animation -- Aiden McLaughlin (Broadway).

5th Place -- Management Analysis & Decision Making -- Zachary Gordon (Sanford) and Bryce Tricas (Chapel Hill).

6th Place -- Financial Services -- Dylan Hargis (Angier) and Keyon Jones (Fayetteville).

7th Place -- Business Sustainability -- Shishir Desai (Sanford) and Mackenzie Roche (Sanford).

7th Place -- Computer Concepts -- Richard Morton (Sanford).

7th Place -- Marketing Analysis & Decision Making -- Zachary Gordon (Sanford) and Dylan Hargis (Angier).

8th Place -- Financial Services -- Carolina Moscoso (Sanford), Faith Richmond (Sanford), and Ellen White (Sanford).

8th Place -- Parliamentary Procedure -- Suzy Brito (Sanford), Samantha Cochran (Sanford), Jennifer Hernandez (Sanford), and Aiden McLaughlin (Broadway).

9th Place -- Justice Administration -- Ashley Quincin (Sanford).

10th Place -- Social Media Challenge -- Suzy Brito (Sanford) and Jennifer Hernandez (Sanford).
