SANFORD - Britt Lehman represented Central Carolina Community College at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Men's Cross Country Championship on Nov. 3. He finished 45th out of 176 runners. The championship event was held at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.

Lehman, who attended Jordan-Matthews High School in Siler City, became the first CCCC cross country athlete to participate in the national championship meet.

"This was an incredible opportunity for both Britt and CCCC cross country," said CCCC Cross Country Coach Jacob Ashworth.

"I think the experience will have an impact on Britt as he sets his goals for next season. He knows what it takes to compete at this level. I believe Britt is fully capable of earning All-American honors next season and expect nothing less."
