CCCC nursing grads ace national exam

SANFORD –Central Carolina Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing Program 2008 graduates have aced the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN). All ADN graduates nationwide must pass this exam to receive their license to practice.

Central Carolina C.C.’s 15 graduates each achieved a 100-percent score the first time they sat the exam. The graduates are now all serving their communities with practices and institutions such as Central Carolina Hospital, UNC-Chapel Hill Medical Center, Wake Medical Center, First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Betsy Johnson Hospital, and Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

“The Associate Degree Nursing Program is rigorous and demands time, knowledge, dedication, and family support,” said nursing instructor Linda Blair. “Each student is to be congratulated for his/her achievement and dedication to providing safe, effective care to the people of their communities.”

The graduates are John Robert Franklin, of Spring Lake; Andrea Kit Walter and Bobbi Holcomb Long, both of Lillington; Patricia Nicole Hair and Crystal Ann Woody Johnson, both of Dunn; Angelique Nicole Roberson, of Buies Creek; Jessica Elizabeth Avery, of Erwin; Leslie Blair Durham, of Pittsboro; Whitney Dale Lawrence, of Sanford; Jonathan Edward Gordy, of Red Springs; Allison Marie Whitfield, of Southern Pines; Ursula Jones White, of Fort Bragg; and Holly Michele Binkley, of Goldston. Not pictured are graduates Jamie Lynn Coppedge, of Apex, and Rosalynn Diane Petrie, of Raleigh.
