N.C. Sustainable Energy Association, CCCC hold clean energy seminar

 SILER CITY – The North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association and Central Carolina Community College invite the public to an exciting opportunity to discuss the clean energy economy in central North Carolina.

The seminar and discussion on evolving clean energy trends in the area takes place 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Monday, July 18, in Room 230 of the college’s Siler City Center, 400 Progress Blvd., Central Carolina Business Campus. Admission is free.

This event follows the release of a new publication by the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association, the “2011 North Carolina Clean Energy Data Book.”  

The seminar and discussion will include:  

- An overview of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies as they relate to North Carolina.

- Specific details on existing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in central North Carolina.

- A discussion of the region’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and the role these elements can play in creating economic development in central North Carolina.

Ample time will be made available for group discussion of the findings with the report authors. In addition, the NCSEA will provide handouts of key regional maps and tables.
