CCCC's Stephanie Pizarro is chosen for Academic Excellence Award

SANFORD, N.C. - Stephanie Pizarro has been chosen as Central Carolina Community College's recipient of an Academic Excellence Award sponsored by the North Carolina Community College System.

Pizarro, of Sanford, is a Lee Early College student, has completed an Associate in Science degree and is currently enrolled in Associate in Applied Science in General Occupational Technology - Medical Sonography.

The Academic Excellence Awards recognize and encourage scholarship among the students of the North Carolina Community College System. This award honors students who have set the highest possible goals and attained the pinnacle of academic success. Students must be currently enrolled, have completed at least 12 semester hours in a curriculum degree program, 9 hours in a diploma program, or 6 hours in a certificate program, and have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.25.
