CCCC students compete in state SkillsUSA competition

SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College students recently competed in the North Carolina SkillsUSA championships, a competition developing career and technical skills for students in middle school, high school, and college.

Four first-place winners earned the opportunity to participate in the SkillsUSA national championships - Claudio Castro-Reyes of Cameron (Commercial Baking), Rosalio Avalos of Sanford (Internetworking), Gerald Jones of Benson (Motorcycle Service Technology), and Robben Kadish of Spring Lake (Welding Sculpture). The nationals will be held June 19-24 in Atlanta, Ga.
