TSWDB soliciting proposals for year-round youth services

SANFORD - The Triangle South Workforce Development Board (TSWDB) is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFP) for the following programs and services to be funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA):

Year-Round Youth Services - Proposals will be accepted to provide a comprehensive year-round service delivery system for eligible youth, ages 14-24, residing in Chatham and Lee counties only. Proposals should be designed to provide the 14 program elements to eligible youth as specified by WIOA for the period of July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2021.

Projected funding availability per county along with the proposal packages will be released at a mandatory Bidder's Conference on Feb. 20 beginning at 2 p.m. at Central Carolina Community College's Center for Workforce Innovation, 5910 Enterprise Park Drive, Sanford, N.C. 27330 (Please use 5910 Clyde Rhyne Road in your GPS). The Bidder's Conference will take place in Multipurpose Room #148.

Attendance of the Bidder's Conference is mandatory. A representative from each entity must attend the Bidder's Conference in order to gain access to the response package for the RFP. The proposal submission deadline will be March 20 by 4 p.m. All questions regarding this process should be directed to Rosalind M. Cross, Director of Workforce Development, rcross@cccc.edu.

Final funding decisions will be made by the Triangle South Workforce Development Board, which reserves the right to consider the most advantageous offers and reject any and all offers. Written notification of operation selection will be provided to each entity submitting a proposal.

The Triangle South Workforce Development Board is responsible for planning, policy guidance, and oversight of the workforce investment system in Chatham, Harnett, Lee, and Sampson counties. Its goal is to combine area employment, training, and supportive services and programs into a consumer-based, market-driven system that meets the needs of job seekers and employers.
