The Central Carolina Community College Library has been awarded two federal Library Services and Technology Act grants totaling $44,985 through the State Library of North Carolina. Tara Guthrie, the college's director of Library Services, stands next to the 40" touch screen computer in the library's only technology-enhanced collaborative study room. An $18,760 Literacy and Lifelong Learning Grant will enable the library to convert all of its study rooms into technology-enhanced rooms. A $26,225 Planning Grant will enable the library to evaluate its facilities space at the Sanford and Lillington campuses to better utilize existing space and plan for future library facilities needs.
