First CCCC Foundation Chatham Golf Classic a hit

A score of 60 earned the team of (from left) Brad Wicker, Jonathan Hockaday and Kevin Pearson (not pictured), all of Lee County, First Place in the First Flight at the Central Carolina Community College Foundation's Chatham Golf Classic. Chatham Park Investors sponsored the team. The April 16 event, held at The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club, attracted 50 golfers who combined fun with the serious goal of fundraising. Approximately $10,000 was raised, which will be used by the Foundation primarily for scholarships to assist CCCC students. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, the college. Moody, Williams, Roper, and Lee Attorneys sponsored the team. The April 16 event, held at The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club, attracted 50 golfers who combined fun with the serious goal of fundraising.
