CCCC students inducted into Phi Theta Kappa

Central Carolina Community College inducted new members into its Beta Sigma Phi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at a ceremony Feb. 25 in the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. PTK is the official honor society for two-year colleges and the largest honor society in American higher education. The spring inductees who attended the ceremony are (not pictured in order) Adam Akers, Noelle Barber, Ryan Belk, Sandra Cain, Zachary Crowson, Christina Hanby, Michael Hejny, Denise Hernandez, Roshell Humphrey, Debra O'Connell, Nicholas Snouwaert, Toni Szabo, and Katie Wilson, all of Sanford; Veronica Arellano, of Broadway; Jamie Chance, Allison Eyring, Terrencia McLean, and Vincent Tricarico, Kristen Tully, all of Lillington; Jacob Zimmerman, of Cameron; Amber Irving, of Siler City; Suzanne Hoyle, of Greensboro; Linda Pereira, of Chapel Hill; Caleb Davis, Alyssa Fountain, and Andrew Tate, all of Apex; Sahra Hashemi, of Cary; and Natalie Schmadeke, of Fuquay-Varina. Central Carolina Community College inducted new members into its Beta Sigma Phi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at a ceremony Feb. 25 in the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. During the ceremony, the inductees lit candles, symbolizing knowledge, and pledged themselves to academic excellence, service, and leadership.
