Lee Early College has a new course for seniors this year designed to help them transition into senior institutions. Students learn about college culture and the application process, as well as important skills, such as communication. Recently, UNC-Greensboro representative Scarlett Liles visited the school to talk to the class about her university. LEC is an academically advanced public high school, a collaboration of Lee County Schools and Central Carolina Community College. Students enter as ninth graders and, within five years, can earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree at no cost.
