Central Carolina Community College President Bud Marchant (left) presents a vase of flowers to Diane Glover, retiring executive director of the CCCC Foundation, during the foundation's 2012 Scholarship Luncheon Nov. 16 in the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Glover retires as of Jan. 1 after serving as foundation director since 2003 and the assistant director for two years prior to that. Under her leadership, the college's scholarship endowments grew from $1.5 million to $3.5 million and the total amount of scholarships awarded, from $60,000 to $175,000. The CCCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of the college. It receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of CCCC and uses them to promote the educational mission of the college and assist students through scholarships and grants. For information on establishing scholarships or endowments, contact Glover (through Dec. 31), at 919-718-7231 or dglover@cccc.edu, or Associate Director Emily Hare, 919-718-7230 or ehare@cccc.edu.
