Interest in Lee Early College drew more than 100 Lee County parents and students to a Jan. 11 presentation at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center to receive information and ask questions about enrollment and what LEC offers students. Following the presentations, some interested students continued the questioning with Virginia Brown (left), Central Carolina Community College's LEC liaison. LEC first enrolls students as ninth graders and enables them to earn a high school diploma and associate degree within five years. Applications for the 2012-13 school year are due to student's 8th grade counselor by Jan. 19.
