CCCC Foundation scholarship donors, recipients meet

At the CCCC Foundation Scholarship Luncheon Tuesday at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, scholarship donors and recipients were able to meet each other. Student Christopher Godfrey (center), of Sanford, received the J. Shelton and Clarice Wicker Scholarship to help him finance his college education. Harrison Wicker (left) and his mother, Alisa Wicker, represented the family at the luncheon and enjoyed talking with Godfrey. Godfrey is earning two degrees: Industrial Systems Maintenance and Automotive Technology.

At the CCCC Foundation Scholarship Luncheon Tuesday at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, scholarship donors and recipients were able to meet each other. Laser and Photonics Technology student James Strickland, of Dunn, met (left) retired CCCC Vice President Ron Miriello, whose family established the Samuel R. Miriello Memorial Scholarship, and Laser and Photonics lead instructor Gary Beasley, representing the Laser and Photonics Technology Scholarship donors.

At the CCCC Foundation Scholarship Luncheon Tuesday at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, scholarship donors and recipients were able to meet each other. Kelvin Puckett (center), of Chatham County, received the Andrew Kelly Wicker Memorial Scholarship to help him afford his Mechanical Engineering classes. Andrew Kelly Wicker graduated from the college in 2004 and passed away in 2005. Family members at the luncheon were (from left) his mother Karen Wicker, sister Kelsey Wicker, and widow Brenda Wicker.
