CCCC trustees elect officers, swear in members

The Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees elected a new chairman and vice chairman and swore in a new trustee and student trustee representative during its July 27 meeting at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. The 2011-12 academic year is the college's 50th anniversary and board members pose with the anniversary logo. Susan Laudate (right), of Sanford, a retired educator, became the newest member of the Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees at its July 27 summer meeting at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Lee County Clerk of Court Susie Thomas (left) administered the oath of office to Laudate. The board also elected Julian Philpott as chairman and Tracy Hanner as vice chairman. Tony Lett was sworn in for a fourth four-year term and SGA President Donna West was sworn in as the student representative to the board.
