Western Harnett receives first CCCC President’s Cup

Western Harnett High School is the first recipient of Central Carolina Community College’s President’s Cup, which will be presented annually to the high school having the highest percentage of graduates continuing their education at CCCC. Of Western Harnett’s 242 graduates in 2010, 46 – 19 percent – enrolled at CCCC. Administrators from the college visited the high school June 13 to present the Cup. Joyce Bryan, CCCC ceramics instructor and a professional potter with her own business, Stone Crow Pottery, in Pittsboro, made the glazed ceramic bowl.
