CCCC Foundation Golf Classic a winner

The team (from left) of Kel Normann, Dave Glabicki, Junior Cole and Chet Chester took home First Place in the Best Ball Gross Division at Central Carolina Community College Foundation’s 19th Annual Golf Classic at Quail Ridge Golf Course Sept. 24. The Classic is the foundation’s biggest fundraiser, with proceeds used primarily to provide scholarships for students attending the college’s campuses in Lee, Harnett and Chatham counties or taking classes by distance education. This year’s event has raised about $30,000 so far, with donations still coming in. Other Best Ball Gross winners (not pictured) were: Second Place: Brian Davis, Randy Kivett, Chuck McCarthy and Jerry Teague; Third Place Team: David Foushee, John Johnson, Jimmy Martin and Robin Williams.

The event was held at Quail Ridge Golf Course Sept. 24.
