NCSU offers China trip

N.C. State University’s Confucius Institute and Nanjing Normal University are sponsoring a five-week study program to China May 18-June 21. The trip is open not just to those enrolled in Chinese classes at Central Carolina Community College’s Confucius Classroom or N.C. State’s Confucius Institute, but also to the public. Those taking part will attend performances and lectures, and take part in excursions, including to the Great Wall of China (pictured). The program cost is about $2,600, not including international airfare and personal expenses. An information session will be held 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at N.C. State University.
