The Progress Energy Foundation presented a $30,000 grant check to Central Carolina Community College Jan. 7 to furnish energy efficiency/green building and renewable energy laboratories in the college’s Sustainable Technologies Classroom/Lab Building at the Chatham County Campus, in Pittsboro. The $4 million, 18,000-square-foot building is scheduled for completion in fall 2010.
