CCCC Chinese Art Show impresses visitors, opens doors

Chinese artist Yue-zi Lu (center) created a painting as a gift for Central Carolina Community College during the Chinese Art Exhibition hosted by the college Thursday. Lu and four other faculty of the College of Fine Arts at Nanjing Normal University in the People’s Republic of China, showed their traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy during the exhibition at the McSwain Center in Sanford. The event was made possible by the partnership between CCCC’s Confucius Classroom and NCSU’s Confucius Institute, a center for the teaching of Mandarin Chinese and the sharing of Chinese culture.

Lu’s intricate scissors art work, on the table, was also on display.
