Corey Mickie (center) of Olivia, has signed to play basketball at Central Carolina Community College. The 6-foot 7-inch, 2009 Western Harnett High School graduate will play power forward and small forward. Present at the signing were (from left) assistant coach Brian Hurd; Mickie’s family: Rodrick Reid, Sheila Mickie, Courtney Mickie, Alred Mickie and Staff Sgt. Kimberly Hudson; and coach Doug Connor. Coach Connor said he is looking forward to coaching Mickie because he runs the floor very well, is a good shot blocker, and has great character and a good attitude. Mickie plans to major in Business Administration at the college’s Lee County Campus.
