Students from the Think Smart Outreach Center, in Dunn, got ‘hands-on’ with laser and fiber optics during a fun and informative workshop at Central Carolina Community College’s Harnett Campus. The students, members of the Center’s pre-collegiate program, were from all the high schools in Harnett County. Gary Beasley, lead instructor of the college’s Laser & Photonics Technology Program, and some of his students put on the workshop. Students and Think Smart staff who took part in the event (not pictured in order) were Andreina McIver, Andre McDougald, Tatyana Williams, Mantel Williams, Cedric Williams, Shaneka McCrae, DeQuan Amerson, Laurice Patterson, Ismial Harris, Nell Williams, and Pamela Williams.
