High School and GED- Make it Happen!

Open the door to new opportunities. An adult high school diploma (AHSD) and/or General Education Development (GED) will get you a better job, more money, and a stronger future. Getting an AHSD or GED has never been easier. Let us help. Ask us what you need to do to complete your high school credential and get started to day, seated and online classes available.

Getting your Adult High School Diploma or GED credential can help you to:

  • Make More Money GED holders make an average of $7000 more per year than those without a GED or high school diploma.
  • Go to College AHSD/GED graduates accomplish as much in college and technical training as traditional high school students.
  • Build Your Career More employers accept the AHSD/GED when hiring and giving promotions.
  • Help Your Kids Set an example - education is for a lifetime.
  • Feel Good About Yourself "The AHS/GED Program ... has helped me build a better foundation for additional schooling and more confidence in myself." - W.B., a GED student

How can the Basic Skills Plus program help, while earning my Adult High School Diploma or GED?

Eligible students enrolled in AHS/GED classes within College and Career Readiness will be able to take the Nursing Aid 1 certification class. Tuition will be waived and this class can lead to a certification as a Nurse Aid 1 and can open more doors within the medical field. Dual enrollment classes begin Fall 2012. You must be enrolled and complete an application for selection. Additional scholarships may be available for qualified students.
